During my recent incarceration at Gitmo I was deprived of my weekly pedicures which I have been in the practice of since the mid 70’s, when I gave up close-toed shoes. The decision to wear sandals exclusively was not a difficult one for me as I spent most of my child hood barefooted. I was never comfortable wearing shoes and socks. The choice I made did almost immediately end my career as a Roller Derby Referee which I have never really gotten over but that’s another story…
I have also developed a nasty fungus as you can see (picture above). It is not as uncomfortable as it looks but they sure do stink. I made an appointment with my pedicurist but he is unable to work me in for another month or so. I bet he will charge me an extra $40 for my feet being in such bad shape.

We must have talked for an hour about everything from Japanese cuisine to Russian Literature; from Movies to Military history. We finished our shopping together then she came back to my place for a romantic evenning of foot massaging suplemented by a gallon of Sake, and a whole lot of screwing. In the morning we talked more about foot health and after we shared a shower and a shave I was able to convince her to become a subscriber to Podiatry Online.
It was a real good time but I will probably never see her again. She was scheduled to fly to Okinawa that morning for her husband’s funeral and she did not expect to return.
I didn’t even get her name.
